Oleta Adams was discovered by Roland and Curt while singing in the bar of a hotel that they were staying at in Kansas City.  Roland was so enthralled by her voice that he asked her to sing on the Seeds of Love album.  Later, Roland produced her first solo album, Circle of One, and gave her the song, Rhythm of Life.  He felt that she had the soul that the song needed.
